GPIB system driver error (EDVR): Unexpected GPIB Board removal[edit]

A RadiMation device driver is trying to control a GPIB device through a GPIB board. However an error is raised by the GPIB system driver that controls that GPIB board. The driver has detected that the GPIB board is unexpectedly removed.

National Instruments NI-488.2[edit]

This error corresponds to the National Instruments NI-488.2 error 0xE1080080 or 0xE1080081.

These errors are returned if you are using a removable interface (for example, a GPIB-USB-HS) and you removed or ejected the interface while the software is trying to communicate with it.

Solution[edit]

When a National Instruments GPIB board is used, the configuration of the GPIB board can be checked and changed in the NI-MAX software.

  • Is a USB GPIB board used? And is it connected to the PC?
