Marconi 2024

The Marconi 2024 device driver is a Signal Generator which is supported by RadiMation^®.

Pulse Modulation

The 2024 does not have a internal connection from the low frequency generator to the PM modulator. PM Manual page

To overcome this problem, connect the low frequency generator en the external modulator with an bnc cable. this works for most of the 2024. some of them need additional hardware to generate the correct levels. with older machines this is the external Pulse modulation input. With newer machines this is Ext Pm / FSK input.

Error 451: Query unterminated

There is a known problem with the Marconi 2023 and 2024 generators, where they sometimes cannot keep up with the speed of the communication, and they are generating 'Timeout' and 'Query Unterminated' errors. Our RadiMation device drivers for the Marconi 2023 and 2024 are aware of this, and they are handling this correctly. The error is thus not reported to the end-user but it is visible on the display of the generator itself.
