Too many datapoints[edit]

An emission test is configured, where the step frequency is too small, which results in too many emission measurement datapoints. The number of datapoints can be calculated by dividing the frequency span by the step frequency. The result is the number of steps that should be taken by the scanning receiver in a single sweep. The maximum number of data points in a single sweep in RadiMation® is limited to 1.000.000. If the calculated number of required data points is higher, the 'Too many datapoints' error will be generated.

Solution[edit]

  • Increase the step frequency of the emission test. A step frequency that is half of the selected RBW filter is very often a good value.
  • Decrease the span of the emission measurement. Another possibility is to split the to be measured frequency range in different bands.
