The received identification of the device ("<RECEIVED>") is not matching with the expected identification ("<EXPECTED>")

A check is done to verify that the correct device is connected and controlled. This is often done by requesting the *IDN? of the device, and checking it with an expected response. It has now been determined that the *IDN? response of the device (shown in the error message at the '<RECEIVED>' part) is not matching with the expected response (shown in the error message at the '<EXPECTED>' part).

The expected response is interpreted as a Regular expression, which can be an actual part of the response. It can also be a more advanced regular expression that is able to verify multiple parts or include different changed company names.

Possible solution(s)

  • Connect the correct device.
  • Check the address that is specified in the device driver is the correct address of the device.
  • Use the correct device driver for the device.
  • It is possible to modify the expected response, on the 'Identification' tab of the advanced configuration dialog.
    • Check that the actually correct expected response is set
    • Restore the default expected response
    • Modify the expected response to be a correct (regular expression) match to the actual response of the device.
  • If the error still appears in the latest version of the device driver: Contact your reseller, radimation-support@raditeq.com or send an Error Report to resolve this error in the device driver.
