National Instruments 488.2M library is too old for Windows 2000

During the initialisation of the National Instruments GPIB library, RadiMation® detected that the installed version of the GPIB library is too old (below version 2.0) to be used on the Windows 2000 operating system. No GPIB control will be possible.

Solution

  • Upgrade the installed version of the National Instruments 488.2M library to a newer and supported version. At least version 15.0 or higher is needed.
  • This error can happen when the Windows operating system of the PC is updated to a newer version. That sometimes triggers that an older version of the National Instruments software is activated again. Reinstalling a newer version of the National Instruments software will resolve the problem again.
