More than 30 segments are needed to perform the measurement, which is not allowed by the device.

This device has a limitation of maximum of 30 segments for a measurement. Those segments are used to specify all the measurement frequencies. Each segment can be used for 2 or more measurement frequencies. If the stepsize between the to be measured frequencies is the same, more than 2 frequencies can be used in a single segment, as long as the stepsize between all the frequencies in the same segment are the same. If however for example a frequency list, with unlogical frequencies or a logarithmic step frequency is used, a segment can only contain 2 measurement frequencies. Due to the maximum of 30 segments, it is possible that this error is already raised when 60 frequencies are measured.

If for example a frequency list is specified with several frequencies, than this could result into:

  • 10 MHz, 20 MHz, 30 MHz, 40 MHz, 50 MHz, 60 MHz, 70 MHz, 80 MHz, 90 MHz, 100 MHz => 1 segment from 10 MHz - 100 MHz, with a 10 MHz stepsize
  • 150 MHz, 200 MHz, 250 MHz, 300 MHz, 350 MHz, 400 MHz, 450 MHz, 500 MHz => 1 segment from 150 MHz - 500 MHz, with a 50 MHz stepsize
  • 600 MHz, 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1000 MHz, 1100 MHz, 1200 MHz, 1300 MHz, 1400 MHz, 1500 MHz, 1600 MHz, 1700 MHz, 1800 Mhz, 1900 MHz, 2000 MHz => 600 MHz - 2000 MHz, with a 100 MHz stepsize

The frequency list is thus converted to 3 segments with different stepsizes.

This error is generated if due to the selection of the frequencies more than 30 segments are needed to perform the complete measurement.

Solution

  • Reduce the number of discrete frequencies that are measured.
  • Change the to be measured frequencies to have a more constant step frequency, which will allow to use more frequencies within the same segment.
