The CISPR 12 standard describes how EMC measurements are performed on motor vehicles. The title of this standard is: "Vehicles, boats and internal combustion engines - Radio disturbance characteristics - Limits and methods of measurement for the protection of off-board receivers"

In an upcoming new version this will be updated to also include electrical vehicles, because the title will change to: "Vehicles, boats and devices with internal combustion engines or traction batteries - Radio disturbance characteristics - Limits and methods of measurement for the protection of off-board receivers"

This standard is also known as the EN 55012.

The standard provides limits and measurement methods in the frequency range from 30 MHz to 1000 MHz to protect receivers that are at least 10 m from the vehicle, boat or device.
