The start or stop frequency has changed after changing the preamplifier. Please check if the frequency range is allowed in combination with the preamplifier setting

A check is done during the activation or deactivation of the preamplifier. During this check, changes in the configured start and stop frequency are detected. If during the activation of the preamplifier, the start or stop frequency is changed, it indicates that the preamplifier is restricting the usable frequency range.

This error is raised when it is detected that the start or stop frequency is changed when activating or deactivating the preamplifier.

Solution

  • Check the manual or data sheet of the used spectrum analyser or (scanning) receiver, to determine the usable frequency range of the preamplifier.
  • Only use the preamplifier during emission measurements in the frequency range for which it can be used.
  • Do not configure a frequency range in the emission test that is (partially) outside the usable frequency range of the preamplifier
  • Create two different bands in the multiband emission test. One for the band outside of the usable frequency range of the preamplifier, which does not use the preamplifier. A second band can be configured for the frequency range that is usable for the preamplifier, and this band can be configured to use the preamplifier.
