The EMCO 1090 device driver is a Turn TableAntenna Tower which is supported by RadiMation®.   The EMCO 1090 is an intelligent turntable and antenna tower controller of EMCO. This device is a combination of the older EMCO 1050 and EMCO 1060 controllers. The EMCO 2090 controller is the successor of this EMCO 1090.

Known Problems

An “ADDRESS NOT DETECTED” is most likely caused by the termination of an *IDN?. The controller is probably not responding correctly to the clearing of the GPIB? This problem needs to be sorted out by customer/reseller.

Limits

CW limit is set to +359 degrees and CCW limit is set to 0 degrees. It's no possible to set a negative value on the limits.

Continuous versus Non-Continuous

You have possibility to select the TurnTable-mode to Continuous or Non-Continuous. The TT-mode parameter defines how the controller will respond when the current position of a TT reaches and/or exceeds 360 degrees. If this parameter is set to Continuous, then the controller will ignore the CW and CCW limits which are set in the controller and the current position indicator will reset to zero upon reaching 360 degrees, and will similarly be set to 359 degrees as the table's current positionpasses through 0 in opposite direction.

Warning-48px.png
Warning: When the controller is operating in the continuous mode, it is capable of turning the TT in either direction indefinitely if the mechanical limits on the TT motor base are disabled. This could result in breaking of any attached cables of the Turntable or the EUT

If the parameter is set to Non-Continuous, the controller will stop the TT when the current position reaches either one of the CW or CCW limits; depending on the direction of movement of the TT.
