VISA is the abbreviation of Virtual Instrument Software Architecture. The VISA standard includes specifications for communication with resources (usually, but not always, instruments) over Test and Measurement specific I/O interfaces such as [[GPIB]], [[USB]], [[LAN]] and other interfaces.

= Getting the VISA identifier =
The easiest way to get the visa identifier is by starting the Measurement and automation tool from National instrument.
 
At the device you can select the device you need, get the properties from the device. in the top you will see a very long name. this is the visa identifier. you can copy and past this in side the RadiMation driver window
