Configuring device drivers to check the interlock state of Bonn and R&S amplifiers

In this application note we explain how to configure a switchmatrix device driver to check the interlock state of amplifiers.

Required device driver for Bonn amplifiers

For the Bonn amplifiers a generic interlocks device driver is available. This device driver is called the "Bonn generic interlock" and can be found under the switchmatrix driver category. This generic interlock driver can be used to check the interlock state of the amplifier on each frequency change while running the tests.

Required device driver for R&S BBA amplifiers

For the R&S BBA amplifiers a generic interlocks device driver is available. This device driver is called the "BBA100 interlock" and can be found under the switchmatrix driver category. This generic interlock driver can be used to check the interlock state of the BBA series amplifiers on each frequency change while running the tests.

This driver by default is used for the BBA100 amplifier series, but by changing the expected identification response in the advanced settings of the device driver, this interlock driver can also be used for other R&S BBA series amplifiers.
