Not all bytes are written to the GPIB-Board within the timeout period (GPIB:EABO)[edit]
During a write operation to a GPIB device, not all the data could be written to the GPIB device.
Solution[edit]
Possible reasons for this error can be:
- The GPIB device is not available on the specified GPIB address. Check the selected GPIB address in the device driver configuration
- There are multiple devices using the same GPIB address. Check if you have configured the same GPIB address for another device. If this is the case make sure they have a unique GPIB number. Beware, some devices are multi devices (Eg. RadiCentre)To address these devices you do need to use the same address multiple times. Please see the manual of a device if you want to know if you are not sure
- The GPIB device is suddenly turned off
- The GPIB device has detected an error, and is not correctly communicating on the GPIB bus.
If this problem remains after manually checking the above options, further investigation by DARE!! Instruments is necessary to find the real cause of this problem.
