The 16 point calculation is different for several standards. This document is meant for the programmer to understand the code better.
Some standards describe the removing of the measurement points before calculating the correct power. you can define how you want the remove the points.

EN 61000-4-3[edit]
Before RadiMation Version 4.4 the power was
after 4.4 and before 5.1 the average was determined by taking the square root of the linear power and taking the average of this value. then the items with the heighst difference are removed.
at version 5.1 the power is corrected to 1 Watt(30dBm) and the field is calculated. from this field the average is taken. This generates an average power, and the points with the heights difference to the point are removed.
