Specific System Error: <ERROR>[edit]
During communication with the device, it is detected that a device specific system error is raised. The device specific system error is shown in the error message.
Due to the fact that the type of error is totally depending on the device that is being controlled, no specific solution can be provided on this page. Although, the error message description can already be clear enough to find a possible solution or identify the cause of the error.
Often seen error messages[edit]
- "Data out of range;......": A value is being set, but the requested value is not within the range of allowed values. It is advised to adjust the requested value in the TSF configuration.
- "Data out of range;SCAN:TIME 0.1 MS": The measure time is set to a too small value. Increase the measure time in the TSF configuration.
Solution[edit]
- Check the manual of the controlled device, to get more information regarding this error. Use the suggestions in the manual of the controlled device to resolve the problem.
- What to do when you get data out of range errors: first make sure that the combination of settings can be used in the analyzer. This can be found in the datasheet but then still can not be clear as it is often a combination of settings used and by setting the settings in RadiMation you can set settings that are not possible on the analyzer. When you are having issues with a combination of settings please first try these settings on the device itself. For example: you are using the Quasi peak detection circuit on your analyzer to do the final measurement but you are getting data out of range errors for certain RBW values. The cause for the data out of range error is that you have used a RBW that is not available in the Quasi peak detection circuit. You can resolve this issue by choosing a correct bandwidth which is available in the detection circuit or use a other circuit for final measurement that does have the RBW you want to use.
- In the past we have seen that this error (Data out of range FREQ:CW) is also caused when using a pre-amplifier outside the valid range of the device. Disable the use of the pre-amplifier (in ALL bands) by setting it to 0 dB in the TSF, before starting the test.
- The settings are valid but I am still receiving Data out of range error: If you have verified your settings by doing a manual test and still get the error please contact radimation-support@raditeq.com, and provide a RadiLog file that contains a capture of the communication with the device at the moment that the device specific system error occurs and a TSF file or a screenshot of the settings used.
