National Instruments GPIB NI-488.2 library with a version below 15.0.0 is detected. Please update, as version 15.0.0 or higher of the National Instruments NI-488.2 library is required.

We have detected that NI-488.2 libraries before 15.0, can sometimes trigger a 'Hibernation' error, which causes that the GPIB card cannot be controlled anymore. It is therefor better to update the NI-488.2 library to a newer version, to prevent problems.

Solution

• Update your National Instruments NI-488.2 library software to the requested version or higher.
  1. Start the 'NI Update Service' program, and select the programs to be updated
  2. If the updater itself should be updated, first update the 'NI Update Service' program first, because otherwise the additional updates will not be shown.
