Signal generator driver test[edit]
The following settings need to be tested:
Normal operation mode
- Amplitude
- Frequency
- AM, 80% 1 kHz
- FM
- PM 50% 1 KHz.
- AM external.
- FM external.
- PM external.
- Sine wave for amplitude modulation
- Square wave for amplitude modulation
Note: | All modulations needs to tested with a scope if the signal generator does not allow the settings to be read from the display. |
Error operation mode
- unplug the communication cable during testing
- Set the AM to out of boundary settings, for example 0% or 1 MHz, this is not supported by the machine.
- Set the FM to out of boundary settings, for example 1 Hz or 1 MHz, this is not supported by the machine.
- Set the PM to out of boundary settings, for example 0,1 Hz and 1%.
Note: | With all out of boundary settings an error must be generated. |
Spectrum analyser driver test[edit]
The following settings need to be tested:
Normal operation mode[edit]
- Lowest frequency to 150 KHz, RBW 1 KHz.
- Lowest frequency to 150 KHz, RBW 9 KHz.
- 150 KHz to 30 MHZ with RBW 9 KHz.
- 150 KHz to 30 MHZ with RBW 1 KHz.
- 150 KHz to 30 MHZ with RBW 120 KHz.
- 30 MHz to 1000 MHz with RBW 120 KHz.
- 30 MHz to 1000 MHz with RBW 9 KHz.
- The selected sweep time should be used
- The selected RBW should be used
- Multiple simultanuous traces
- Configurable number of measurement points
- Sweep times > 10 seconds
Note: | All settings should be done with all the options of the machine, so Receiver, Scanning Receiver, Analyser and FFT mode. |
Error operation mode[edit]
Note: | With all out of boundary settings an error must be generated. |

Mil Standard 461c vs 461d (emission)[edit]
The difference between 461c and 461d regarding the emission is that the 461C is talking about narrow band and broad band limit lines while the 461D does not have this any more.
