How to specify the antenna factor
In this application note we explain how you can specify the antenna factor in RadiMation to perform Radiated Emission measurements.
Overview
Antenna factor polarisation
Antennas are only calibrated with horizontal polarisation in free space. It thus is not necessary to have a different antenna factor for another polarisation.

Chapter 5: Standards site method (30 MHz to 40 GHz) The standard site method (SSM) (based solely on hoizontally polarized measurements) provides antenna factor measurements from 30 MHz to 10000 MHz for both US domestic use and international use.

Also see: Federal Communications Comission (FCC) Antenna calibration procedures (822428 D01) It is useful to note that the calibration procedure outlined in ANSI C63.5-2006 is based solely on horizontally polarised measurements performed at a standard antenna calibration site, with a measurement distance of 10 meters. These antenna factors can then be used for either vertically or horizontally polarised measurements at distances from the equipment under test of 3 meters or more, in accordance with the applicable procedures of ANSI C63.4-2003, ANSI C63.4-2009, or ANSI C63.10-2009.
