Information to provide:

  • Full screen screenshots
  • What is expected?
  • What is happening?
  • Version number of RadiMation
  • Steps on how to reproduce the problem
  • Is the problem reproducible using virtual equipment?
  • Is a data-file available that shows the problem?
  • Explanation (photo's) of the setup
  • Reference to the standard that is used to perform the test.

Most important:

  • We prefer to receive an ErrorReport file, because it contains a lot of detailed information

Show a simple explanation on how to provide an ErrorReport. Most of this desired content is also available on the 'http://wiki.dare.nl/wiki/index.php/RadiLog' page. Probably it is better to use that content in this application note. We probably can then refer the 'RadiLog' page to this application note.

In the past we often asked, the following items. However that is not really relevant anymore. It thus is better not to describe these items anymore in this Application note.

Is it related to the control of the equipment? Then also provide:

  • NI IO-Trace files (with full capturing!)
  • Agilent IO Monitor (with almost full capturing)
  • Version number of the device drivers
  • Which device (Brand & Type) is related
  • Firmware version of the device
  • Which communication medium is used to communicate with the device
