Could not copy template '<TEMPLATE>' to the report '<REPORT>'. Is the report open and/or locked?

The first phase during the generation of a report or a printout, is to make a copy of the report generator template (<TEMPLATE>), to the name of the final report (<REPORT>). The copy operation was not possible, very probably because one of the files was locked by another program.

Solution

• Please ensure that no instance of Microsoft Word is running.
• Due to the caching behaviour of Microsoft Word, it is possible that a Microsoft Word instance without an opened document, still has a lock on the last edited file. This lock can be released by closing all Microsoft Word instances
