The ISO 11452-9 is a standard that describes how EMC measurements are performed on components in road vehicles to determine any influence caused by the use of portable transmitters.

The title of this standard is: "Road vehicles — Component test methods for electrical disturbances from narrowband radiated electromagnetic energy. Part 9: Portable transmitters."

The last known edition is the third edition released on 2012-05.

This standard describes that the vehicle cannot be influenced by on-board transmitters (which can be integrated transmitters, or mobile transmitters (like mobile phones)). This can be tested by using the original mounted antennas on the device, or a simulated transmitting antenna. The test signal is then applied from the transmitter itself, or by using a signal generator and (broadband) amplifier that are placed outside the vehicle, but connected by a coaxial cable to the transmitting antenna in/on the vehicle. In most of the cases the forward or net power should be regulated.

All the tests as described in this standard can be performed by using RadiMation®
