A USB 3.0 port is required to communicate with the TektronixAnalyzerRSAAPIInformation. If no USB 3.0 port is present, the device will not be working. The device doesn’t have a power on/off button. Connecting it to the USB 3.0 port will activate the device.

On a 64-bit Windows operating system, the 64-bit version of RSA_API should be installed. That installation will also include the 32-bit DLL which is available at: "C:\Tektronix\RSA_API\lib\x86\RSA_API.dll". This fixed path is also included in the RadiMation device driver, so installing it on another location could cause that no connection could be created. The driver has been created and is tested with version 3.23.0022 of the RSA_API.

When the RSA_API interface is used to control the TektronixAnalyzerRSAAPIInformation, it is not possible to:

  • use CISPR RBW filters
  • use CISPR Peak detector
  • use CISPR Average detector
  • use CISPR QP detector
  • use CISPR RMS detector

Also a Tektronix SignalVu-PC device driver is present, which uses the Tektronix SignalVu-PC software to control the TektronixAnalyzerRSAAPIInformation. That device driver is able to use the CISPR filters and detectors, however this does require that also one of the modules SVQPNL-SVPC, SVQPFL-SVPC, EMCVUNL-SVPC or EMCVUFL-SVPC is purchased.
