An amplifier is a piece of equipment that is used during EMC measurements. It's primary purpose is to amplify RF signals from the Signal Generator before it is applied to the Antenna.

Not all available amplifiers are remote controllable. For those amplifiers that are remote controllable, the device driver knows how to control the amplifier.

Amplifiers are only used during Immunity tests.

All the device drivers for amplifiers maintain the following information:

  • Allowed frequency range
  • For remote controllable amplifiers, instructions how to:
    • Power on/off
    • Operate
    • Standby
    • Retrieve the status

A complete list of all supported amplifiers by RadiMation is available on this RadiWiki site.
