An antenna is a piece of equipment that is used during EMC measurements. It's primary purpose is to transmit and/or receive Electromagnetic fields and convert it to a RF power signal.

During Immunity tests, a RF signal is amplified by an Amplifier which is then feed into the antenna to create an electromagnetic field.

During Emission tests, the electromagnetic field is received by an antenna and the RF signal is then feed into a Spectrum Analyzer where the amplitude of the RF signal is measured.

All the device drivers for antennas maintain the following information:

  • Allowed frequency range

A complete list of all supported antenna by RadiMation is available on this RadiWiki site.
