The Dwell time tone generator device driver is a EUT Controller which is supported by RadiMation®.

When this device driver is selected in a testsite used by an immunity test, a 1 kHz tone is generated on the PC speaker as long as the dwell time is active in the immunity test. The tone is not generated when the power level is readjusted for the next frequency.

It is very similar to the tone of the 1 kHz AM modulation, heard on the older power amplifiers.

This audible feedback can be very helpful for the test engineer to be notified of the exact times when the dwell time is active. The test engineer can observe the EUT with any CCTV system and can hear exactly when the dwell time is active.
