The device driver system is currently not usable

RadiMation® has detected that another RadiMation® instance is also using one or more device drivers to communicate with equipment. This situation is detected during the startup of RadiMation®, and probably the error RadiMation Error: 805306782 is also shown. To prevent that the two (or more) simultaneously running programs are changing equipment settings of each other it is not allowed to use the device driver system from the second (or more) running RadiMation process.

It is also possible that this error is shown when a too old National Instruments 488.2 library is installed, in that case probably also the error RadiMation Error: 805306938 is also shown. In that this situation, please update to a newer National Instrumnets 488.2 library as described on the RadiMation Error: 805306938 page.

Solution

  • Switch to the other running RadiMation® program, and perform the test in the other instance of RadiMation®
  • Only start one RadiMation® program at the same time.
  • Close all RadiMation® programs that are available in the taskbar and start RadiMation® only once.
  • Terminate or Kill all 'RADIMAT-MAIN.EXE' or RADIMAT.EXE' processes in the task manager and start RadiMation® only once.
  • Restart the PC and then start RadiMation® only once.

If 2 RadiMation® instances are started, closing the first one does not give the second instance control over the GPIB board. This is correct functionality. During the start up of RadiMation® there is a check to see if the board is available. If this check is unsuccessful, it will be remembered as long as RadiMation® is running. Close all RadiMation® programs to make the device driver system usable again.
