National Instruments GPIB NI-488.2 library with a version below 15.0.0 is detected. Please update, as version 15.0.0 or higher of the National Instruments NI-488.2 library is required.
We have detected that NI-488.2 libraries before 15.0, can sometimes trigger a 'Hibernation' error (RadiMation Error: 805306934), which causes that the GPIB card cannot be controlled anymore. It is therefor better to update the NI-488.2 library to a newer version, to prevent problems.
After this error is shown, also error RadiMation Error: 536879952 will be shown, that indicates that 'The device driver system is currently not usable'.
Solution
- Update your National Instruments NI-488.2 library software to the requested version or higher.
- Start the 'NI Update Service' program, and select the programs to be updated
- If the updater itself should be updated, first update the 'NI Update Service' program first, because otherwise the additional updates will not be shown.
- The required update is part of the 'Upgrades and Service Packs' section, which is by default not expanded. Expand the section to show the update that should be installed.
- Then select the 'NI-488.2' update, and press the 'Install' button.
- At least the 'NI-488.2' software should be updated to a version of 15.0 or higher, but it is also advised to also install the other available updates. Some updates will also be part of the 'NI-488.2' update, and will thus automatically be selected and installed. It is also advised that after the installation, the 'NI Update Service' program is run again, to check if there are additional updates.
